In this project I will be covering a variety of interesting facts on antibodies, as well as
what their purpose is. The reason for this project is simply that I have been fascinated
with the human body, and how it works. I got the idea of doing this project from a
science encyclopedia book. Along with my research I'm doing a survey experiment.
Through out this section I will be covering my manipulated, controlled, and responding
variables, as well as some interesting facts on antibodies.
VARIABLES
My manipulated variable is the percent of correct answers I get back from each age
group in my survey. This information will be placed on a graph and put into percentage
to see which age group has the best understanding of antibodies.
My controlled variable is the questions I send out to people. I chose the
questions because I thought they were both challenging and interesting for first time
viewers.
Finally my responding variable is the result in which age groups will have the best
understanding of antibodies.
The age groups I will be sending this questionnaire to are 0-10; 11-21; 22-32; 33-63; and
64 and up. The information I get back from the survey will be analyzed and put on a
graph to see which age group has the most understanding of antibodies.
HYPOTHESIS
I predict the age category with the most right will be the 22-
32 years old. My prediction was based on the assumption that adults around that age
would probably be just out of university, but at the same time have little experience
in their professions.
